Mind Cherishes
Mind is inert and just a logical tool which works only on comparison and contrast. If there is no comparison available to our mind it will not have opportunity to exercise and expand its wings and will shun away its lustre and sharpness. Comparison provides impetus and feed to the mind and is essential for its growth. Reduce the use of feed to the mind and its activities would subside as it won't find any base to kick and then fly off in limitless imagination. How do we feed the mind? It is through the external sensory organs, the five senses embedded into the human body. Control the inputs flowing through these sensory organs and the mind will feel contained. Remove the sensory organs and the mind will become caged with no senses of whatever is happening outwardly. In this extreme case, though the mind will have no further input, however, it will still remain active by working out or recycling its already accumulated resources of feed. This may be understood as the moment of pause when the outward route is broken but the inward route remains to be pursued. At the end, after several cycles of recycling of accumulated resources, the mind will have no further interest to recycle the impressions and it will take about turn, inwardly. This is the state of bliss for the mind.
